A stylish Kaftan (Caftan or Jalabiya) handmade with Soft and Shiny hand woven 100% 'Moire' Egyptian Fabric: a mix of Egyptian Cotton and Satin. The soft fabric is hand woven in Egypt using a traditional weaving method and a basic old fashioned wooden weaving board. This is a Special Oriental fashion Kaftan, Arab Dress available for women of all sizes. Ideal to wear at home as a comfortable pyjama or to welcome your guests in an oriental style. Perfect as simple dress for haflas, oriental style parties or weddings and for Muslim wear. You definitely won't blend in with the crowd...but who wants to blend?

• The hard to find Moire Fabric has a very unique shiny 'wood like' texture. This texture is created through a particular hand print process. The hand print process results in a unique and natural 'wood bark like' wavy pattern embedded into the material. The following are more pictures. Make sure you click the following links:

• Just like finger tips, no two kaftans have the same shiny 'wood bark like' patterns. This makes the Kafan even more unique. Nobody else can have the same Kaftan. Apart from the unique print, as you move around in the caftan the fabric emits different shades. 

• The elaborate cotton embroidery is handmade separately and then applied to the Kaftan. The beautiful embroidery runs from the top of the Kaftan to the bottom. The Kaftan also has embroidery around the collar and at the end of both sleeves. The colour of the embroidery will always match the colour of the Kaftan.

• Adjustable to your Height: If the length of the Kaftan you purchase is slightly too long you can easily get it shortened to fit your height. The embroidery is not in the way and will not be effected. The bottom of the caftan also has two side openings without embroidery making it even easier to shorten the Kaftan.

• The front collar opening can be extended (sliced open) so as to make the front open cut longer and wider over the chest area (allowing more of your chest to appear).

• Plenty of Moire colours to choose from.

• Party or Wedding Theme: If you have a group event (wedding, show, party etc.) and would like it to be colouful and oriental then get all your invitees or bridesmaids to dress in these Kaftans! If you want to order them in bulk let us know by submitting the wholesale form.

• Washing Instructions: Wash by hand in cold water. Best if use Dry Cleaning.

• Please bear in mind that the measurements stated in the drop down list above are the actual measurements of the product. When selecting the 'Chest Area of Product' measurement always select a 'Chest Area of Product' measurement that has a minimum of 5cm, 10cm or 15cm more than your acual chest measurement (i.e. all around circumference of the widest area of your chest). The more extra centimetres you allow the more comfortable and loose the fit.
