Reem Shaheen, an experienced fashion consultant, producer and designer meshes modern high street fashion with the traditional patterns, embroidery and sewing techniques from the Siwa Oasis and El Arish Sinai locations in Egypt. All her works embody culture and tradition. Reem Shaheen products are not mass produced and are not easy to find. Her products are handmade by skilled craftswomen in Siwa, El Arish and other places around Egypt. Reem Shaheen spends a lot of time training the (poor women) women for free. Apart from working for her, Reem makes sure that the women gain a clear set of skills in order to produce and sell on their own as well. 

Through out the training classes and when designing something new Reem always keeps in mind that what is produced must respect and keep traditional techniques, colours, patterns or cultural symbols (in the form of embroidery) of the location from which the product comes from. By doing so not only do the women produce incredible products but they are also working to preserve their culture, environment and tradition.
