If you have ever been in Sharm El Sheik or Dahab you will have noticed colourful rugs/throws or sofa covers in outisde cafe's or bedouin style restaurants. Now you can get the same look in your house or restaurant. You can not easily find these multi use covers even in Egypt.

The craftsmen and craftswomen's interweaving technique creates astonishing and complex layers and patterns with wonderful colours. Many of the covers appear to have different shades of the same colour. This because of the way the coloured threads are intertwined in different orders. For example look at the pictures of the cover below:

Picture 1 shows the cover from a distance. Picture 3 (zoom with no camera flash light used) shows the rich colours of the cover. The Celestial and light celestial, red and light red colours are created by changing the order in which a white coloured thread is intertwined with the red or celestial coloured thread. For example you can clearly see this white thread mixed with the red thread in the stripe where the light red colour is emitted (view Picture 2 or 3, 3rd stripe from the celestial stripe). 

These covers will bring to life even the dullest/oldest of beds, rooms, sofas or floors. How to use them is all up to you. We just state suggestions next to each product as 'Usage'. In Egypt they are used for everything - as blankets, bedspreads, sofa covers, table covers, picnic throws, wall decorations, colorful area rugs or carpets; to furnish a home, a desert or back garden Bedouin tent or Oriental style Restaurants and Cafe's. The pictures are taken so as to depict the covers true colours and patterns; to do so sometimes we had to avoid using the camera flash light. Hence some pictures may appear to be blurry or dark on the sides.
