All our Belly Dance Hip Scarves are Authentic Egyptian Belly Dance hip scarves, 100% handmade by highly skilled craftswomen in Cairo, Egypt. Their are several types of hip scarves/hip shawls available. The material, coins, beads and ornaments are hand picked by us to ensure superior quality and durability. Please bear in mind that all our hip scarves are handmade with great care and that no two scarves are exactly the same. Most of the Hip Scarves we have come in two shapes: triangular and rectangular. Any of the Chiffon material hip scarves may have very small gaps, lines or marks - this is normal and they are barely apparent. If you are looking for superior quality material please order one of our crepe material hip scarves.

Washing and Maintenance Instructions: They are hand made and delicate. Store them (preferably alone in a bag) carefully folded in a safe place. The better you treat them the longer they will live with you; don't throw them around. When first trying them pin them with a safety pin at the side, then tie them so as to avoid unraveling the beading. Only if necessary - wash material by hand in cold water using liquid soap. Do not allow water or soap to touch ornaments.

Wearing Tips: Simply wrap the hip scarf around your hip, tie it and start shaking! Remember hip scarves can be worn (as an accessory) on different occasions and not just for dancing, haflas or shows. Try them over your jeans, skirt or bikini or lay them out on your sofa as home decor.

Sizes: If you have small hips it does not mean that you necessarily need a shorter (in length) hip scarf; it's all about how you tie it.
