Description: This quality product is an
exceptional work of art that proudly represents Egyptian Quality craftsmanship at
its finest.
100% Hand woven in Akhmem, Egypt, with basic old
fashioned wooden
weaving boards. They are woven by
hand with natural Egyptian materials. They are all relatively thick. Some are Egyptian Cotton, some are only Egyptian Linen, some are a mix of Egyptian Cotton
and Silk, Egyptian Cotton and Linen or Egyptian Linen and
Silk. The craftsmen and craftswomen's interweaving
technique creates astonishing and complex layers and
patterns with wonderful colours. It is also the way they intertwine two different coloured
threads that creates another colour or a shade of a colour.

white thread mixed with the red thread in the stripe
where the light red colour is emitted (view Pic 1, 3rd
stripe from the celestial stripe). Bear in mind this is
an extreme close up to the threading. From a normal
distance the white threading does not appear, only the
light red colour appears (view Pic 2). For the true

These covers will bring to life even the dullest/oldest

In Egypt they are used for everything - as blankets, bedspreads, sofa covers,
table covers, picnic throws, wall
decorations, colorful area rugs or carpets; to furnish a
home, a desert or back garden Bedouin tent or Oriental style
Restaurants and Cafe's. The pictures are taken
so as to depict the covers true colours and
patterns; to do so sometimes we had to avoid using the flash
light. Hence some pictures may appear to be blurry or dark
on the sides.
